I keep meaning to do some learn to play videos. At the moment, I would say @rich_mid_gaming would be the best place to start for a learn to play. From there, I would recommend checking the comments on Shatterpoint battle reports, as the community is solid about pointing out corrections, and in same cases, tactical advice

@@AegisbrandStudios I really think you should. what you do through out the reports is really easy to follow and well laid out. Even for someone like me who just searched for the game because of seeing a box of the miniatures in a local hobby store. but thanks for the reply, i will try and look at the channel you mentioned.

Check out the last line in her tactic ability. After each unengaged scout has dashed, the last line is "then one character in this unit may dash"

When this one was filmed, it was *very* early on, and we were still learning the intricacies of the game, and the importance of position and movement. At this time, I honestly could not tell you if it crossed my mind, or not. Probably not, if I am being honest with myself

Nothing changed on what mind trick effectively does. You lose your focus. The forums will help alleviate any and all questions. Just search mind trick tag

If only. Mind trick is something that needs to be addressed, cause damn it has some feels bad.moments attached to it. If you have a link to support this, that would be awesome, but based on what is said in the forums, because the attack ends, and a new attack is granted, any bonuses that apply to the next attack are lost

@@AegisbrandStudios Also important to note (in this specific instance of Crosshair firing) that while the new attack is still during the combat action, it itself is not PART of a combat action, so Crosshair wouldn't have benefit from Leader of the Batch either

Glad it is being noticed! It has had the knock on effect of me being forced to double check interactions as I edit, so I can catch errors and make notes as I go

It is not reserving it. You pay a force to immediately draw the next card in the order deck, and then you shuffle the shatterpoint card back into the deck

Glad to hear it! Those pop ups should be a permanent aspect, at this point, as I am pretty sure I have run out of uploads without them

Hulk used the tactic card Smash, which destroys a piece of terrain (supposed to be smaller, we messed up that part in the moment), and dice are then added to his attacks for the round equal to the size of the destroyed piece of terrain. I actually did not use his spender at all, during this game

Good call out. This was still a very early use of Han, so makes sense we missed a couple things

@@AegisbrandStudios no shade man, I’m ALWAYS missing triggers or getting things wrong. Especially at the moment as I’ve got heavily invested and just doubled the number of units I own ha ha! Gonna take a while for all those rules to sink in ha ha! Love your stuff guys, keep it up! (P.S I usually don’t call out errors but, as you guys said you’re looking at a competitive event, I felt it would be helpful)

The dice have not been helping either. I do not necessarily believe there was anything inherently wrong with his list, the dice just did not let him work towards any of his goals. Not much you can do when that happens, sadly

Yeah, I am inclined to agree that Troope fell into the attrition trap in this game. A bit more focus on grabbing the secures from me would have slowed me down, as well as forced me to use actions for movement, instead of double tapping as often as I did. Happens to the best of us

Yeah, I hear that. The extra options, while still limited in some instances, just give so much more agency with how to construct your strike team. I still prefer the openness of MCP roster building, but Shatterpoint is getting a lot better than at launch

I think you said it wonderfully when it was very much the game has gotten better and the path it is on will continue to get better, the 4 month break hurt the game so much and without those who stuck with it who knows where it would be

So, when a character is thrown, they will suffer collision damage of 1. No dodge roll is made to avoid this damage. Only when something (a character or piece of terrain) is thrown into another character, would that character then have to make a dodge roll, in which case, the damage is equal to the size of the thrown object +1. Also, because I know it comes up a lot. When throwing an enemy character, you measure distance from the character being thrown. When throwing terrain, you measure from the character doing the throwing. I feel that, while explained in the rule book, it does not always come across clearly on first take. Hope that helps.
